Fly, Girl, Fly!: Shaesta Waiz Soars Around the World


Shaesta Waiz, an Afghan refugee, overcame hurdles to become a pilot and STEM advocate. Leaving a refugee camp, she moved to the U.S., challenging gender stereotypes as her family's first college attendee. She completed a journey, circling the globe and covering 25,000 nautical miles across 22 countries. "Fly, Girl, Fly!" is a picture book biography detailing her journey, with additional insights and encouragement from Shaesta for girls pursuing their dreams.
